Humanity was created in God's image (Genesis 1:27) to live in perfect relationship with God, one another, and creation. However, through Adam and Eve’s disobedience in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3), sin entered the world, resulting in separation from God, spiritual death, and the corruption of human nature. This broken condition affects every person (Romans 3:23), making humanity unable to restore the relationship with God by their own efforts. From the Old Testament, to the New Testament times, God initiated a plan of redemption out of love (John 3:16).
