David committed adultery and murder and spent a year trying to cover it up from God and others. But 2 Samuel 12 reminds us: sin has real, lasting consequences, and God must judge sin. Yet that’s not the end of the story. God is also merciful, loving, and ready to forgive us when we turn back to Him. Sometimes he will send a faithful friend to reveal the sin we are hiding, so we can turn back to Him.
